AFES is a chapter of the Society of Petrophysicists and Well Log Analyst, with aims to promote education and knowledge of the scientific and technical aspects of Formation Evaluation. We do this through our free Monthly meetings, technical seminars and special events such as the annual DEVEX conference, held this year in May at Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre. We also offer social activities and academic support to all Scottish universities in the form of sponsorship and a forum for networking and integrating with industry.

All of the above relies on the active participation of our membership. As such, we invite members to offer material for presentation or ideas for future events, by contacting any member of the committee.

We are also indebted to our sponsors, who provide annual sustaining funds necessary to carry out our events throughout the year.
